AthensWay: The New Digital Mobility Experience in Athens

Getting around a modern city requires easy access to information, time-saving digital services and tools that bring different mobility needs together in one place. With this in mind, the City of Athens, through DAEM S.A. and in collaboration with Novoville, introduces AthensWay, the city’s new official mobility app.myAthensPass is now AthensWay, marking the transition to a new, redesigned digital environment that brings together parking, mobility and information services for residents and visitors to Athens.
From myAthensPass to AthensWay
AthensWay is more than just an upgrade of myAthensPass. With a new design, an enhanced user experience and expanded functionality, it transforms the way citizens digitally interact with the city’s mobility services.
For existing myAthensPass users, the transition is automatic and secure. Their profile, available e-wallet balance and parking ticket history are transferred to AthensWay. Users can access their account using the same email address they used for myAthensPass, without having to create a new account.
Controlled Parking, Made Simpler
One of AthensWay’s core features is the ability to manage parking in controlled zones directly from your phone.
Through the app, users can purchase parking time in seconds for controlled parking spaces across Athens, selecting a duration from 30 to 180 minutes. Payments can be made by topping up their e-wallet using a bank card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Users can also save multiple vehicle registration numbers, activate parking tickets for different vehicles, receive a notification before their parking time expires and extend it remotely, without having to return to their vehicle.
The app also provides access to transaction history and digital receipts, as well as information on the operating days and hours of the City of Athens Controlled Parking System.
Live Parking Availability at Kotzia Square
AthensWay extends parking information beyond on-street parking.
Users can check the availability of spaces at the municipal underground car park at Kotzia Square in real time, viewing both the number of available spaces and the current occupancy rate.
This gives drivers a clearer picture before reaching their destination and helps reduce the time spent searching for parking.
Real-Time Information on OASA Buses
AthensWay also provides useful real-time information for journeys on OASA buses.
Through the app, users can search for bus lines, routes and stops, check estimated arrival times and track the live location of buses on the map. They can also save the bus lines they use most frequently as favourites, making it even easier to access the information they need.
More Useful Services for the City
Beyond parking and live bus information, AthensWay brings together additional digital services designed to make everyday life in Athens easier.
Users can locate electric vehicle charging points and navigate directly to them, find parking ticket points of sale and municipal car parks, and report road safety issues.
They can also access useful contact numbers, FAQs and the dedicated “How to Park” section, while receiving news, announcements, important messages and mobile polls from the City of Athens.
